Mr. T V Narendran, the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Governors (BoG) of IIT Patna, visited the IIT Patna campus on Friday, January 9, 2026. He was appointed to this prestigious position by the Ministry of Education. Prof. T. N. Singh, Director, IIT Patna; Prof. A. K. Thakur, Dean Administration-cum-Registrar; and senior faculty members warmly received him at the Institute's helipad.
Mr. T V Narendran is the Global CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel, bringing his extensive leadership experience to guide IIT Patna's future growth and development.
Comprehensive Institute Overview
The senior authorities of the Institute presented a comprehensive overview of Indian Institute of Technology, Patna's academic programmes, research and development activities, infrastructure expansion, new initiatives, placements, industry collaborations, and other key institutional developments to Mr. Narendran during a meeting held in the Institute's Board Room.
